I like it! Did you get the sword specifically for the project or did the sword not perform well as a weapon and this is how you chose to redeem it? Regardless,it looks great! <img src="/forum/images/icons/cool.gif" alt="" />

I just bought the same sword with the discount, and I too can disassemble the hilt. Interesting.

I'll bet the reason the swords were stiff until the last 12" is distal taper. The thicker area wouldn't flex like the thinner one. Distal taper is also probably the answer to why the MRL seems a little blade-heavy.
