Hi Shane. I've never seen one that looked like it had the same heavy-duty vinyl or canvas of a proper punching bag. Am I just looking at the cheap ones? Any reccomended brands? The "wavemaster" bag used by karate guys is a very convenient pell. It's easily moved and has it's own base so no hanging is required.
No. We're using the cheap ones...we just wrap them in packing tapeHi Shane. I've never seen one that looked like it had the same heavy-duty vinyl or canvas of a proper punching bag. I have never experience any damage to either my bag or wasters. Just make sure you hang it hight enough so that you don't get your waster into the chain holding it up. The first bag I used was heavy canvas bag. I now use a smaller leather bag.Randall
Thanks for the reply. How heavy is your bag, and is it canvas or leather (does that make a difference)? The only concern I would have using a punching bag is that if it is too heavy and a thrust is performed full force, the waster might be put under a lot of lateral stress.
