The Columbus Ohio study group will be hosting a 5 hour workshop taught by John Clements on May 10, 2009. Cost will be $110 per person (that can drop if there is enough enrollment to cover event costs). Maximum of 12 attendants. There is free food/lodging for out-of-town guests by prior arrangement. So, how'd the workshop go? I couldn't attend because I'm nowhere nearby nor am I in ARMA yet but what kinda stuff was taught there? Anyone make any significant progress from it?

I would say any chance to spend a day with JC is a benefit for clarifying any questions and receiving useful feedback---it was more a day like that, especially for several who had never met JC yet. Also, a great opportunity to train with David and to recharge Jaron after his military stint. As for me, I always get specific advice from JC's suggestions after he observes folks training/sparring and such.
