Actually when you have to wear the chem suit with all that gear on there is NO ventilation...at all. The suit is designed not to let anything in. The protective respirator (gas mask) is of course allowed to let purified air in, but that does not circulate through the entire suit, and has to be sucked through a huge filter which takes more energy just to breath. Also when you exhale the mask just gets hot again. Life sucks when you don the suit.Though it is better ventilated.
Yeh dude...but then you'd be all icky sticky and no fun to grapple with...When I worked in armour all the time, I'd be in it for 4-6 hours at a stretch in 90+ degree weather. It's not a problem when you're used to it.
