Whats a first good sword to get.

If a guy is on a budget, what should he look for in a decent, yet affordable sword to learn with. I looked at albion, and the arms and armor sites, but the prices are kinda out of my price range.

Sharp or Blunt? If your just learning are you sure you want steel or would a wooden waster or aluminum training sword be ok? They are generally WAY cheaper.

I would start off with a waster and save up for a quality sword later down the road, rather than just buy junk that handles badly and will need later replacement. Albion has some training blunts for around 300$, which should be a reasonable target to save for. If you are just starting out, it is also much harder to cut yourself with a waster.

I would start with a waster as Jake said, but I would look through http://www.myarmoury.com/reviews.html for a good sword anyway. You may find a decent blunt at an affordable price.
