So folks, what's your most entertaining training injury?
Yesterday I was having a demonstration at a university in order to promote good clean swordplay fun, and it was really raining. I was practicing on a pell while everyone was still arriving (it was a big pumpkin launch using trebuchets, we were there to kind of piggyback on it and get interest out).
Well, I stepped in with ye old Englishe cock-step, and when my heel hit the ground, my leg shot forward and I crashed onto my side. Ddin't think much of it at the time, except how humble it definitely made me feel. Yet today, I can barely move said leg. Pulled summat in there for sure!

Most Entertaining Training Injury
"The hardest enemy to face is he whose presence you have grown accustomed to."
Simple sparring with steel blunts, a zorn caught me in the right elbow. Wasn't a big deal, but it really hurt throughout the night as I tried to sleep. Internal swelling in addition to the crushed bleeding skin, apparently.
It's been nearly two years since then, the scar is still there.
If only it were a bit larger, I could impress more ladies with it!

I was doing some free-play with steel one night when a cut caught me on the elbow and split the skin even through the kevlar fencing jacket I wore for sparring back then. After class that night we went to see opening night of "LOTR: The Two Towers" while my sword wound was still oozing blood.

Where do I begin...
Apart from a few jammed fingers and two waffle patterns engraved into my head, I'd have to say my most epic injury was an accidental thrust to the mouth that busted a hole clean through my lip.... vessel hanging out, lots of blood... VERY painful.
Luckily I didnt lose any teeth and it healed without leaving a "piercing"; the scar is now barely visible unless I press my tongue aganst my lip to make it visible.
